What is astrology?

For me astrology is phenomenon, subject of research. And instrument of astrology is horoscope. Is there any correlation in between position of planters in the sky during time of birth and his features and destiny topics? This is the question, I'm asking, and I'm looking for answer for example by horoscopes examining. >>>
